    By Keith Idec

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Joe Gatti stood inside an unofficial shrine to his late younger brother on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon in September.

Behind the bar at Ringside Lounge, a boxing-themed tavern right on Routes 1&9 in Arturo Gatti’s adopted hometown, it is clear Joe Gatti gets along well with its owner, Mario Costa. They’re talking to a couple regulars seated on stools at the end of a long bar, near where a picture of Ida Gatti, the mother of Joe, Arturo and four other children, is prominently displayed.

She is holding one of Arturo Gatti’s championship belts in the photo, taken outside a Montreal church the day of Gatti’s funeral 16 months ago. Ida Gatti would not have approved had she seen what occurred on the other side of this bar a couple weeks earlier.

On a fittingly gloomy, rainy day, Amanda Rodrigues-Gatti, Arturo’s heavily scrutinized widow, walked through that same space with their son, Arturo Jr., in tow. Costa claims her trip to Ringside was arranged solely so that Mike Tyson, Costa’s longtime friend, could meet the son of a fan favorite Tyson admired. [Click Here To Read More]

    A sad and interesting read.

I don't endorse conspiracies for the sake of it.

But Gatti didn't murder himself. He was murdered.

So the implication is that Arturo did a David Carradine?

What happen to the independent pathologist that was brought in by Gatti's family? I also believe he killed himself.

its hard to read this, i couldnt finish it..

but to be honest, i have a son, and if anyone has a son and as a father u would

give your life for your child without a hesitation.

it is hard to see a man who has no known past of depression, borderline personality or bipolar disorder would kill himself, drunk or not.

having anger issues and being wreckless is not the same as being suicidal.

im not saying she killed him im just saying it is harder to believe he killed himself

            i just dont get it

its hard to let this warrior go as we all miss him for what he gave us in the ring

curious ray, what assures you that he killed himself?....and please please please give some of your best concrete thoughts that would absolutely make sense....specifics not generalizations. i know that blokes from the brit community are pretty smart fellas, so be thoughtful and convincing in what you say. have you had the chance to review all the circumstances surrounding his death, carefully?....or are your beliefs a knee jerk reaction to something else?

I think anyone who watched the Bryant Gumble Sports special on Arturo Gatti would have to atleast have su****ions of Rodrigues. She claimed in the morning she got up to make the baby a bottle and saw Arturo laying there and just thought he was passed out and went back up stairs to bed.
They showed a photo of Arturo laying there in the entrance of the kitchen and there was A LOT of blood around him. There is no way in hell that she could've seen Arturo and not have seen all that blood there. NO WAY. And, the room was so small (and with the placement of the kitchen table) she would have had to litterally stepped over him to get in to and out of the kitchen area. That photo was undeniable to me that she is just not telling the truth.

I don't have time to find it, but if anybody can find that crime seen photo of Arturo laying in a pool of his own blood, please post it (or the Bryant Gumble episode). It also shows how she would have had to step over him to make the baby a bottle. It will definately make you question Amanda Rodrigues if you haven't already.
