It was a great fight. Have you even seen it? I'm not sure I'd call it his toughest fight. Toughest fights really vary a lot. He was young, inexperienced and against a guy who has given every single guy he's ever faced real problems. Augustus is one of the trickiest fighters around.

But, something you forget to mention is that Floyd is the only guy to stop him from 1995 until 2009. Considering how many times he fought, who he was against, the short notice he always took fights on etc etc etc, that's really ****ing impressive.

Anyway, by toughest fight I'm sure he means that, at the time, it was the toughest fight. Morales says Pacquiao wasn't his toughest fight because he was old and shot. The toughest fights are often those when you are young and inexperienced and have to push through adversity that you've never come across before.

Roberto Duran says that his toughest weren't Hearns, Leonard, Hagler, Barkley, or any of those guys but some of the tough Panamanians he fought when he was a bantamweight/superbantamweight and inexperienced. They might lose later fights but they have experienced everything that happens in them. You know what I mean?

To put it a different way; I remember the toughest gigs I ever did were the very early first ones. I can do some big gigs now with lots of press etc etc, and they might have been short notice in which I've had to learn a bunch of new tunes or whatever but because I've experienced it all, it's not hard anymore but those first ones when I had little experience were really tough.

My first ten or so amateur fights were very difficult and I thought I'd never keep going, but they were against easy opponents in hindsight. They were still my toughest fights though.
