As for "one sided ass whupping" you must be thinking of Roy Jones vs. Ruiz. Okay, I had Toney winning but his win wasn't all that, and Ruiz looked to be in it for most of the fight.
yes, he called and asked for tips on how to be more entertaining as i heard during the fight. but still, his performance against toney was as exciting as getting a case of "the Hershey Squirts".

ok, maybe i exaturated in saying "a one-sided ass-whooping". but it was clear enough to anybody that toney won the fight.

This is true, and I believe that Toney would beat Ruiz 99 times out of a 100 - BUT - in the actual ring, where it counts, Toney's only win over John is under the juice. So you could argue (though no one would) that Ruiz could still potentially beat Toney.

Oh yeah, this is just MY opinion... people can do their own.

I don't know what bartender's you see, but they must be very skilled. Byrd's success is based upon being a very good slick boxer, who slips punches very well and is very awkward as well as being a southpaw with very good upper body reflexes.
The guy has often fought figters who outweigh him by quite a lot, so that is also very brave as well.

He has faded recently, and maybe got some favourable decisions, but to say the guy has no skill is rediculous, his success is based entirely on skill. he is a 100% boxer. Some people have described him as a bit like the modern day jimmy young.
