Mayweather turned down Margarito in favour of Baldomir for the lineal title, and I heard it was 12mil?

And a Hoya fight was the best payday in boxing.
I think at that point Floyd started seeing how Arum was
keeping his paper stagnate and trying to get more money than
warranted. Floyd was always vocal about Bob Arum jerking
his fighters. Funny how both Oscar and Floyd left Arum to
become multi millionaires. Margarito was and is a over hyped
fighter. The only fight I wished would have happen while
undefeated was Miguel Cotto but I think neither pushed
hard for the fight and also because of Floyd/Arum beef.

    • LOL, this punch drunk piñata has about the same chance as I do at beating Pac and even less of landing a Mayweather fight.

Baseless opinion, Mayweather has just beat up boxers who came from 2 consecutive KO victories, Marquez and Mosley. Eric Morales, D. Diaz, DLH, Cotto and Clottey are the boxers who had just beaten in their last 2 fights and it was Pacquiao actually who fought them after. Now, its Margarito's time after Knocking out by Mosley.

          • Fight should of happened in August of 2006. But, dude turned down a career high payday and faked a hand injury just to duck Margarito.

He left Arum April 25th, 2006.

Fight wasnt happening. You got a link for this "fake injury"?

It wasn't happening cuz Floyd ducked him period.

Ellorbe said Floyd couldn't be ready for August of 2006 cuz he hurt his hand in the Judah fight.

However, there was never any evidence that he did. They just used his history of hand injury as an excuse. But, no evidence.

Turn down a career high payday with a fake injury to duck Margarito.

You have a article or video with them discussing this fight for August. Floyds date was November. For a while.

And Floyd did hurt his hand vs. Judah. I remember Roger saying that. He didnt fight til 8 months after the Judah fight. That was for a reason.

I heard that Floyd was injured the 2nd part of the fight, his
shoulder or something like that and that's why Castillo was
able to get to Floyd. That and I think Floyd slept on Castillo
a lil but if Castillo truly had Mayweather's number then the
2nd fight would have been much of the same. Like for instance,
when Manny fought Marquez the first time it was an all out
war. Questionable to some on who won and a couple of years
later they fought again and nothing truly was settled on who
the better was of the two because the 2nd fight was so close
as well. Some even thought Marquez won. My point is, that's
when you know another fighter style is too much for another.
All a fighter would have to do is stop Margarito's pressure,
tie him up, go to the body, counter and that is what Mosley
did. Cotto could have probably won if he would have took
it to Margarito instead of staying on the run.
I hear you. We also all know Floyd is a master boxer and improves his strategy as the fight goes on. Prime example is his last fight in how he adjusted after just two rounds. Imagine what he can do in two months with tape and the experience. That said, I think we both made our points. No need to dwell on this subject more really. I get everything your saying though.

And for joking purposes: Yes, we all heard about Floyd's shoulder and hand injuries. If his hands are that fragile, wont he hurt them on the slab of granite that is Tony's face? Which will open the door for Tony to take the fight over! War Tony!

He fought 7 months after Judah fight. And, no the reason for that is cuz Floyd is not that much of an active fighter. Never has been. EVER and as a Floyd fan you should know that.

No there was no hand injury. Don't come in here and act as if Floyd is so active the only reason he didn't fight sooner was cuz of some phantom injury.

lol @ "That was for a reason" Yea the reason was cuz he ducked Margarito. Wanted no parts of him.

Arum set up a date for Floyd-Margarito in August of 2006 Floyd faked a hand injury and Ellorbe said they would not have been ready. And, turned down a career high payday in the process.

Then Arum said November could be the date and give Floyd enough time to "heal" his fake injury. And, then Floyd bought out his contract. However, if he would of just chose to fight Margarito in August he could of and then bought out his contract.

But, whatever.... And, really this is common knowledge why need a link?
