Khan doesn't hit as hard as Ortiz but his punches are quicker, and it's the punches you don't see that hurt you most.
So in my opinion, yes Khan can knock Maidana out. But a late tko stoppage is far more likely.

Maidana has a real solid chin, even though he was knocked down a couple of times by the hard hitter Ortiz, he wasn't on shaky legs. There might be a stoppage though, maybe with cuts even.
