Thats either underating Hatton or overating Julio Cesar Chavez, you might aswell say Hatton has zero chance of beating Chavez, but them odds are obviously not true in any professional boxing match, especially when the opponent(in this case Hatton) is a respected world class fighter

I'm not going pick a winner of this fight out of respect for Julio Cesar Chavez's greatness and Hatton's potential greatness.

I say Chavez, but not because I dislike Hatton or anything like that. I just think JCC of old was a beast. He would stalk his opponents like a lion to his prey. He would throw thunderous body shots to the liver, a shot that would later be known as "the Mexican liver shot". He would cut the ring off if you tried to run around just like he did to (***** ass) Camacho. He would generally use all his ring smarts to break down his opponents and finish them off in the later rounds, unless he decided to punish them like he did to Haugen and Camacho. But oh yeah "he didn't knock me down" like Camacho said after their bout. I don't want to take nothing away from Ricky, I think he has an excellent carreer a head of him if he chooses his opponents carefully, progress steadily and doesn't try to picks fights he knows he shouldn't. He just recently destroyed one of my favorite fighters, so I know he has a lot of potential, but as far as beating a prime Chavez, I just don't see it happening. Just my opinion, so all you Brits, don't bash me too hard,

What has Ricky Hatton done is his career besides beat a 35 year old Tszyu? Your talking about Hattion who has one good win in his career and matching him up against a guy who won titles in 3 weight divisions and is regarded as a legit all time great.

From what ive seen from Hatton so far prime Chavez kills Hatton. As we all know the type fighter that could give Chavez real problems in his prime was a fast and defensive fighter.Taylor was fast but not a defensive fighter.Camacho was defensive and got embarrased.He fought Whitaker past his prime and as everyone knows he lost.Hatton is the perfect type opponent for Chaves,Hatton looks tough and think he would give a great fight but get ko brutally and the middle rounds.

Anybody who goes toe-to-toe with prime Chavez is not going to win, period.
Would Hatton box him ?
