How did Arum know Angulo's immigration status?
I didn't even know you could fight in the U.S. if you were illegal.
That's some funny ****, Angulo beating the system.. well until now. haha
I hope he gets his status cleared up though, I'm sure he will since money talks,
and he's able to fight in the U.S. again.
Shady **** on Arum's part though. He went way out of his way to get Angulo caught up.

Cotto ducked this fight. He knows he couldn't take Angulo's pressure. Fighting a bigger guy that is able to eat his punches and keep coming forward is like suicide. If Arum really did do that, then it is shady. Probably wanted to get Perro out of the rankings so that Kneegel wouldn't have any competition to deal with if he wanted to win another vacant title belt.

... @ Gary Shaw saying Arum was protecting Cotto, and Cotto initially turn down the Vans fight. It is interesting that Angulo is no longer in the 154 picture, and by the time that dude is able to fight in the U.S he may be @ 160 by then.

That's a good point, but Cotto vs Perro would still have been good fight. Cotto doesn't present the height reach advantages Cintron used to win that fight. Cotto/Perro would look like Cotto/Torres and it represents the PR vs Mexico rivalry IMO.
