not really interested in this one.....Briggs is a joke and Vitali is holdin' that WBC strap hostage....Wlad needs that one to complete his historic legendary HW career......so the sooner big Vit retires the sooner Wlad can get that pretty green belt.....for what its worth, I got Vitali by KO in 7
I hope Briggs shakes the division of all the current boredom. Even if He loses it would be good if He knocks Klits a few times to make at least this fight interesting.
But, I'm not sure Briggs is still the force He was once.
I don't have a vested interest in either fighter; although I've seen almost every Vitali fight there is and a couple of his fights are some of my favourite heavyweight fights over the past 20 years, so I'll probably like to see Vitali win.
Also, as someone else alluded to earlier, if Briggs wins, Haye would most likely duck Wlad again to fight Briggs in a "unification" bout.
There was a training video circulating here in NSB yesterday that showed Briggs hitting the mitts, the heavy and speed bags; and jogging. He looked ****ing god awful. He had no speed, no intensity, and no desire. Therefore, I hope Vitali KOs him early and in brutal fashion....
Here's a point of clarity: In the oft chance that Shannon Briggs does win this fight, I'm sure that there are various rematch clauses in the fight contract that would require Briggs to either a.) rematch Vitali; or b.) fight Wlad. So basically I don't think Briggs could go forward with a fight with the winner of Haye/Harrison if he won....
Briggs seems like a good guy but I'd prefer for him to be removed from the sport via huge KO. On that note, he should get a git commentating, he's articulate and knowledgable from what I've heard.
If theres a Wlad rematch clause...Briggs winning would be better for boxing. Im a huge Vitali fan, but Wlad needs that belt. Also if Briggs wins and convinces people hes back and that he himself has cured asthma...that would be a big win for Wlad.
