Whatever your opinion of him, the fact is that plain and simple - He did it.

I'd like to hear about other fighters doing this kind of thing. And there is, don't get me wrong but it seems like it's few and far between. Giving back when you made it is a mark of a good humble person.

pacquiao has funded to help buil a hospital, shelters and housing for the poor and provides food to the poor on a daily basis...this is just a small sample of what pac does in his country...not on the same level as providing air plane tickets ;o)

Since when are margarito and manny and a competition to see how donates more? You don't know how he spends his money so don't judge the guy. He did a nice thing and I've personally been to Tijuana multiple times and everyone lives him. He contributes a lot to local small charities from what I was told. I attended a food drive for a orphanage there and he was the main financial supporter. But never saw him or got to meet him.

It's great to see any fighter helping out those less fortunate.

margarito is a nice guy, i'm one of those who is anticipating the fight with manny.i also understand the wrap scandal got him a bad name and he is on everybody's **** list, but this was a nice gesture cause i know first hand that people are stingy and rude when it comes to money..
