We start off the month with the possible return of Kirkland on Nov. 6. Who would not want to see this guy fight. Already a beast, the man is now hardened by a few months in Federal PMITA Prison. Kirkland was doing the pounding, guaranteed.
Moving on to Nov 13, we have David Haye vs Harrison. Personally, I cant stand David Haye. But I love watching him fight. After Harrison hacks up a couple CA bears, i hope he brings some serious action.
Same day, Pacman puts a beating on Margarito. Truth is, i like Margarito because he is a classic Mexican brawler. There has never been a margarito fight i didn't enjoy. That said, he's about to experience a well deserved beating.
Nov 20, holy bejeezus. Martinez v Williams 2 is actually happening in 2010? Why not let this fight stew for a few years? You know, build the hype? Martinez with his really weird corner (some hobo and a permanently sun-glassed trainer) takes out the overrated Williams. This fight alone would make for a good November.
But holy crap, here comes Nov 27. Berto v Jonny Rando, Marquez v Katsidis, Froch v Abraham, AND Ward v Dirrel? I am pitching a tent right now. Except for whoever Berto faces, i love every single one of these guys. Berto has speed, skill and power. Marquez, an all time great. Katsidis is always fun to watch and is a classy dude. I think he'll be put down in the later rounds, but Marquez has to get old one day. Froch v Abraham - zero idea what will happen. And Ward overcomes the incredibly talented, but mentally weak Dirrel. One of these fights has to be FoY.If any of these guys back out of their fight, I will forever despise them. But barring that, a very happy thanks giving.
My god. what a month. Boxing has failed me for the first 10 months of 2010. The HBO commentary during the Mosley Mora fight represents exactly how i feel about 2010. '...Pathetic'. But my god, November makes up for it. Even the $-Pacman debacle seems like less of a travesty. Am i just overly excited bc of the complete lack of action? I really dont think so....
