On October 7, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is expected to arrive in Baguio City, Philippines, where he will train and spar with Manny Pacquiao, according to Pacquiao's adviser, Michael Koncz. Chavez and Pacquiao are both trained by Freddie Roach.

why would chavez fear cotto? has cotto looked devastating in his last fights to cause fear? he beat a handicapped feather fisted fighter in foreman,,,ran around the ring like a girl against pacquiao and seems like he wanted to quit against clottey and barley won....a fighter like that is supposed to cause fear? i don't blame chavez for not wanting this fight if his trainer isn't going to be with him 100% in training,roachs' attention is with manny not with jr,and for a championship fight i think roach needs to give all his attention to chavez

Chavez isnt scared of Cotto, just wasnt ready yet, either way he DUCKED HIM, plain and simple you know why? BC if it was the other way around all the Cotto and PR haters would never give it a rest, saying Cotto ducked Chavez thats why, and dont say that its not true.

He did better vs Pac than Pacs last 4 opponents (remember Oscar quitting on his stool? Yeah very tough that is). He never wanted to quit vs Clottey (did you see the ***ing gash on his eye?) while he was fighting with one eye, something Vic Ortiz couldnt handle, and his cut was way smaller but he still quit like a *****! HAHA. Foreman has no KO record but he can hit, the dude had one leg AFTER Cotto applies the pressure that made his **** give out - funny how his leg NEVER in any other fights gave out like that haha, either way Cotto was winning that fight with or without one leg.

Chavez Jr. will get his ass handed to him the day he steps up and fights Cotto.

But Cotto's last two or three fights and choice of opponents were more impressive and better than Chavez jr's whole 41 professional fight resume' of tomato cans...lets be real!

i don't care if ortiz quit or if oscar quit,cotto wanted to quit against clottey but didn't out of embarrasement,he just ran and against pacquiao he didn't even try,was just on survival mode,running around the ring,and don't tell me foreman can hit,that is so laughable,the guy had a bad leg period,face it,cotto looks good only agaist the handicapped fighetrs or the urkals and gomez,yep,gome is a bum and chavez will face him,i've never said chavez faces good fighters,but to face a champ you need your trainer with you not just for 40% of the time
