Diego Corrales was in his abosulte prime and KO'ing damn near everybody up until Floyd. And, ever KO'd a few good fighters after Floyd.

Corrales was such a beast that he was favored to beat Floyd. Matter of fact that is the last time anybody was favored to beat Floyd.

Think about it....

Corrales was in his absolute beast mode prime. The problem was that Floyd was also in his absolute beast mode prime as well. And, IMO the greatest 130 pounder EVER behind Arguello. So Floyd was just a different animal he was on another level. That made Corrales look like he didn't belong. But, that is how great Floyd was back then.

Quartey was looked upon being on the slide with his fight against Lopez. Where Quartey was knocked down TWICE.

And, BTW that is Oscar ammo look for a vulnability and then fight you. He did the same with Vargas after got dropped in back-to-back fights.

So anyways Quartey gets dropped TWICE in the Lopez fight and Oscar decides to fight him. But, doesn't fight him right away. He wants Quartey to come off a very long layoff. So Oscar gets a "cut" in training that postpones the fight. Nobody even saw the cut EVER. During a press conference somebody I forgot who even brought in a magnifying glass just so he could check Oscar cut.

But, at the end it doesn't matter because I feel Floyd win over Corrales is better. Since Floyd absolutely destroyed him. While I feel Quartey should of actually gotten the decision against Oscar.

That is not my logic at all.

It was both different scenarios actually. One If both were in the same weight-class of if Pac would having skipping weights so frequently I doubt Oscar would of been favored. For example if Pac would of fought Hatton and Cotto before Oscar. Pac would have been favored huge against Oscar.

Anyways, both Corrales and Floyd were at 130 and both were beast at that weight. For Corrales to be favored against Floyd it showes how well thought of Corrales was at the time.

So if it is not about Chico then don't bring in bullshit that he wasn't in his prime.

If it is prime for prime Floyd beats Oscar. Floyd was just on another level than Oscar. Overall just a way better fighter. If it is prime Oscar vs the Floyd that fought Shane or JMM then Oscar wins.

And, for the record 147 is not even Oscar best weight-class.
