    Hehe.

He maybe is a little. He still hasn't beaten any of the top guys at 140 but people are still picking him to kick everyone's ass upto middleweight. Someone even said that Toney MAY give him some problems at heavyweight!

Well There is a lot of crap sprayed around these forums... LOL!...

At 140lbs Mayweather has fought Demacus "slop slop" Corley, Henry "one time sparring partner to Cotto" Bruselles, and Arturo "shot to pieces" Gatti...

So how people can say Mayweather is the best at 140lbs (let alone all the other weight classes) is beyond me!

Is Mayweather over-rated?... I think this answer's your question.

He's the best fighter in the world, right now.
I don't think saying that constitutes overrating him.

No, We DOES not overrate Mayweather!! LOL... To me he is P4P King right now! Has been IMO since RJJ got knocked from his perch.

Kostya had his best moments with Hatton on the outside. PBF is the far superior boxer (over Kostya) when it comes to the sweet science so I think he would have similar success in that aspect. PBF also wouldn't let Hatton bum rush him, and rough house him the way Kostya did. I believe that Kostya couldn't handle that frantic pace/rough housing at his age. Floyd would be able to though, because he is young and has much better hand/foot speed. You can bet the farm Hatton would get tagged AT WILL trying to get on the inside. If you look at it (the fight)for what it is PBF does just about EVERYTHING better than Hatton. Defense, boxing, movement...etc. PBF is in just as good of shape if not better than Hatton, because we all have heard the Fatton jokes! Hatton might have a SLIGHT edge in power, but no way he punches as hard as Castillo, Corrales or Gatti! I believe the Hatton fight would be a mismatch honestly. I only see challanges for PBF at 147 or higher. No one 140 or below could do much with Floyd IMO.

There is no one that can beat him from 140-147. He has unreal accuarcy, reflexes, speed, ring general ship...should I go on.

Well I disagree with you, because for one... I think Hatton would beat Mayweather. I also think Kostya Tszyu would beat Mayweather.

Don't get me wrong, I think Mayweather is an excellent talent... But he'd be much better suited if he was fighting at 130lbs-135lbs.

These guys at 140lbs are too big, and too strong for him.

I think beating an old shop worn Gatti is one thing, but beating a young 26yr old hungry Hatton is a totally different ball game.

He has a lot of talent and hopefully we'll see that against top opponents. He talks a good fight, but has a long way to go in the ring. He hasn't fought the real champion, Hatton, at 140 yet. I dare say he can beat him, but you have to do it and not talk about it. Heck, he isn't even calling out Hatton. Talking about Judah and Winky is just that - talk.

My definition of an elite level fighter is one that has proven it in the ring. Mayweather hasn't proven anything at 140. In hindsight, his second performance against Castillo at 135 was quite good but he didn't blow him out. He ****** big time in their first fight and got a gift from the judges. Beating up on Gatti was pretty but meaningless. DLH had already been there, done that.

Let's talk in 5 years when he has some big scalps under his belt. Maybe some guys are ducking him, that's possible too. Or he may go the RJJ route and fight bogus mandatory contenders.
