SUPER SIX TOURNAMENT was/is complete disaster!!!!

Is this tournament still even on?

I mean after round 1 Taylor retired, and after round 2 Kessler retired.

I heard that now they are gonna bring Glen Johnson,i mean whats the point of bringing him if he didnt found in first 2 rounds and have 0 points just like Green?

They should make Super 8 tournament, not this nonsense.

Now they gonna make Super 6 cruiserweight tournament.

I wouldn't call it a disaster. Some of these fights have been good, I just think some people had way too high of expectations. I think most of us realized it could turn out this way.

We do not need a Super 8. We need less boxers not more.

The bantamweight tournament is perfect. 2 guaranteed fights per fighter, 2 fights per night on the same card on 2 different nights. Big enough to still be called a tournament, but small enough to likely avoid the issues of the 6 or more fighters.

They should have just had an elimination tournament, this points BS is taking too long.

The tourney has not been smooth for sure. And improvements can be made for future events but we're still getting fights we wouldn't of gotten without the Super six

If they were gonna use a point system, they should've used a 3 month turnaround schedule instead of just letting these primadonnas take their sweet ass time.

But I agree, its been a total disaster imo. Not just for the reasons you stated, but cuz' they didn't include Bute from the start.

Glen Johnson? Allan Green? lol.... gtfo...

I don't even think Taylor was all that good a choice.

It wasn't a disaster, sure it didn't go smoothly but if they hadn't done it none of the fighters would have fought each other and would have just padded their resumes with mandos and softies.

They're just trying to milk it by bringing another fighter in.

They need to preserve the integrity of the competiton by going straight to the semi-final stage now:

                  Semi 1 - Froch v Abraham
                  Semi 2 - Dirrell v Ward

                  Final - winner takes all.

                  Anything else is a POS.

It's asinine to call it a failure.

In the past year we've gotten...

                    Ward/Kessler
                    Abraham/Taylor
                    Froch/Dirrell
                    Abraham/Dirrell
                    Kessler/Froch
                    Ward/Green

And are still gonna get Ward/Dirrell and Froch/Abraham.

I'd venture to say it's quite possible that not one of those fights happen without the Super Six.

Sure it hasn't gone as smoothly as we all hoped, but be real, who thought this **** was gonna go off without a hitch?

That's 8 HUGELY relevant fights in one division over the course of a year and a half.

                    When does that EVER happen?
