Kelly was one of my favorite fighters, but he's fallen just as quickly as he rose. I mean, just a couple fights prior to fighting Taylor, I was watching him and he seemed like an awesome prospect knocking guys out cold. Next thing I knew he was Middleweight Champ of world. That blew my mind but I was so happy for him because his style was awesome and he was down to earth. Next thing I know, he's taking a fight just for the $$$ and completely under esimated the old fox in Hopkins and got his ass schooled. After that it was allll down hill and it seemed to go down QUICK.

      Pavlik versus Duddy is murder....

Are you sure you are not Bob Arum or something?

lol true, Pavlik would win easily but it would be exciting and a decent win for Pavlik.

I'd like to see Matthew Macklin get a shot at Pavlik.

Hopkins and Martinez are P4P very top in the world. Not beating them really shouldn't be considered the end of your career. I don't see why he can't beat Paul Williams. He doesn't offer any of the style of the previous 2 mentioned fighters. He was also competitive against Martinez. He'll always have trouble with very slick fighters, but there are a lot of guys out there who aren't too slick.

i agree, boxers are goin to give pavlik problems, but guys that are goin to be right in front of him for him to hit, like pwill, he will do well against.

i'd match pavlik up with pwill, bika, abraham, froch and stay away from ward, dirrell, sturm, martinez

You people talk as if kelly didnt fight good against Martinez. after 8 rounds Pavlik was up a point or do you guys forget that???.

He only have problems with guys who moves a lot. Fighters like Williams and Sturm he will KTFO without much problems. Watch him put a beating on Vera. Besides Pirog and Martinez nobody else posesses a very good chance at 160. at 168 hell give Ward and Froch hell even to Kessler.

Kelly's his own worst enemy. Lay off the sauce and stop training at home and maybe he can turn his career around. If not...forget it.

Personally, I like him. I don't think he's gonna go on to be a HOF fighter or anything like that, but he seems a decent guy and is usually in good fights.
I think he would have faired well against Calz
If old past prime BHop and RJJ were able to knock him on his azz in the first round of both fights then Kelly had a good chance

Kelly doesn't seem as strong above 160. I thought he lost the Taylor rematch and he got shutout by Hops. I don't know...
