    Margarito's Sparring Partners

Thanks to Eaner0919 for throwing these names out. Austin Trout & Mookie Pendarvis are supposed to be 2 of a few of Margarito's sparring partners. Anybody interested in knowing more about them can check out the videos below.

    Austin Trout (21-0 Light Middleweight-Southpaw)

Mookie Pendarvis (10-4-2 Welterweight-Southpaw) vs Victor Ortiz (Couldn't find a stream of this, just follow the link for a Download)

I don't think either really captures Pacquiao's style, but if Garcia got them, I'm sure there's good reason for it.

Austin's size is nowhere near Manny but he brings good pop and really good handspeed. He moves well and I told him he needs to beat up Tony because Manny won't let up on Tony so he shouldnt either. We used him for PWill and he was great work. He went three yesterday

Mookie concerns me more. He is tricky has good handspeed and all but Tony will wear him out

we have a few others coming in

trout should be progressing in his own career instead of being a sparring partner. he hasnt had a fight all yr (although i dunno if he still having legal troubles)
trout does have fast hands, but he wont be able to imitate manny's foot speed and angles.

If only Valero were still alive he would have been as good as it gets to the real Pacquiao.

He needs people with similar height like Judah or even Ortiz. Oscar's team used Mookie and we all know how that ended.

          um he is and has

he was up for purse bid to fight Ishida but that fell through and is now looking to fight the winner of Alvarez vs Ishida in Dec. Assuming that it is Ishida this will be very good work for Austin

Good luck trying to find adecuate sparring. Pacquiao is so southpaw, so akward. Maybe Judah or Donaire.. Valero would of been great.

For Pacquiao is easy, just pick any Mexican strong and busy right handed fighter and Bingo, you got the right guy.

doesnt excuse him from not having a fight all yr.

These sparring partners are the wrong guys. I hope Margo has a good gameplan to make this interesting. From what I've heard, he's going to rely on counters and combos. Is he even fast enough to do that against Manny?
