There is no way this fight happens. Not in 2010 that's for sure. Jones signed to fight Soto-Karass on the Pac-Cheato undercard ad there's no way that Arum cancels that one. He's been building Mike Jones on his Telefutura cards and he won't throw that investment away by putting him in there in a big fight against a competitive opponent yet. Arum will continue to give Jones more and more HBO undercard exposure until he can headline a Boxing After Dark card. If he survives two or three more fights and picks up an alphabelt then he might face Brook, but that would be unlikely to happen unless they can turn it into a "unification" fight. Both of these fighters need more exposure for this fight to make financial sense for the promoters AND the fighters. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see this fight, but I would compare it to if Tim Bradley and Devon Alexander were to have fought two years ago - great fight, but it would have been too early.

That's what comes to mind when I read stuff like this from Warren, who acts as if news today isn't released until newspapers are circulated the next day. I can't believe he's that ignorant to where he didn't know Jones was already fighting on November 13, and that this is anything other than a feeble attempt to front like they're looking for an opponent before securing the 2010 equivalent of Dennis Holbaek.

If it gets made, I'll pay for it. I like Mike and Kell. It's kinda early in both of their careers for them to be facing each other, but I love the match up. Mike has alot more to improve on, but I see the potential. If (Prime) Naseem Hamed and (Prime) Ricky Hatton went **** and had a baby together, that baby would be Kell Brook. I like both of these fighters, and a match between them would be well worth the money IMHO.
