If Floyd's unavailable, Pac should fight Paul Williams next.

Pacquiao is almost done with the sport, and after Margarito probably won't be able to find an opponent he makes mega bucks with. Berto, Mosley, anyone from 140, none of them bring a ton of money to the table, though they would do good just because Pac is fighting, and if he can't fight Floyd Pac should just go out with his last fight against Paul Williams, win lose or draw against Sergio.

I've always felt that Martinez and Williams shouldn't be chasing Mayweather and Pacquiao, but if Mayweather or Pacquiao wanted a fight with one of the bigger men I don't have a problem with that. Without Floyd, I want to see Pac go out on his shield giving deserved exposure to someone else, and if he fights Paul Williams he would be doing that while also giving himself one last big challenge. I'm sure lots of people would disagree and say "Why not fight Sergio Martinez if he wins?" Well, Sergio is not only big, he fights a style that would kill Pac considering the size difference. It's such a big challenge that Roach and Arum would never allow the fight, and Paul Williams is also much more willing to fight Pac at whatever weight he wants to fight at.

Oscar gave Floyd and Manny the chance to be stars when he was done with his career, and it would be great to see Pacquiao do that with Paul Williams.

Pac wants to fight FLoyd because he would get credit for a great win. If he cant fight Floyd, he would need an alternative that would give him as much credit.

Natural question. Would he get more credit for beating Floyd or Paul Williams? If he would get more credit for beating Paul Williams, there is no need to fight floyd. But being the one to end Floyds run is very tempting so pac would miss out on a chance to do that.

But the size difference height wise between Pac and PW is laughable when you think about it.

The height and reach difference is ludicrous. However, Paul fights a style Pac would stand a chance against, even if I don't think he would win, and there's no other fight out there besides Floyd where Pacquiao winning would get him much credit. Why not give Paul Williams that shot, since Williams is willing to fight Pac under pretty much whatever terms he wants?

As far as who would he get more credit for that doesn't really matter. Pacquiao-Mayweather is an extremely important fight, and should happen if Floyd is able to fight.

It'll all depend on Arum actually.

The height difference is ridiculously advantageous to Pwill, but this fight won't be far fetched I guess.

Because of the size disparity between Pacquioa and Paul Williams, I would give Pacquiao the same IF not more credit for beating Paul Williams. Then again, we also have to wait and see how Paul looks against Martinez.

HAH some people are naive, this thread title is hilarous!

If you think for one second Pacquiao has the balls to get in the ring with Paul Williams then your an idiot.

A guy with Floyd Mayweather, a guy who might go to jail for beating his wife in front of his son and is "on vacation", is the last person to accuse a fighter of not having balls, and that's the only response you're getting from in this thread so have fun trolling.

Any threat to Pacquiao they throw in a catchweight BS,
Along with Williams height and workrate Pacquiao gets battered for 12 and maybe Knocked out.

if pac looks good. I have a feeling we will see pac take in martinez/williams winner at 154. Man that would be a grand retirement fight.
