Who should Tavoris Cloud fight next?

Anyway why doesn't he fight Zsolt Erdei he doesn't have a fight lined up that I know of.

Too be fair,Erdei doesnt really favour challenging fights,so i cant see that happening

idk man, i was wishing that pascal fought cloud but he choose 2 call out hopkins and calzaghe after he beat dawson.

yeah Don King fighters are not very active, they fight maybe once or twice a year lol

but anyway, unfortunately for Cloud, that division SUCKS, other then Dawson, Hopkins, Johnson, Pascal and a young Nathan Cleverly, the rest really don't impress me much, for a big fight he probably will have to try and fight one of the 168 guys I guess or just wait for the Hopkins vs Pascal vs Dawson thing to sort itself out and go after the winner

I seriously doubt anybody is rushing to fight Cloud though, he is a very tough and Powerful Fighter, other then Dawson, I don't see many of those guys in that division beating him either and the only reason why I give Dawson the best chance is because he has the skills and the speed to out-box Cloud, Cleverly has the skills but not sure if he is ready for Cloud RIGHT NOW!

Ismayl Syllakh is also a guy that I'm VERY big on in that division. i think the division is becoming very good.....look at his jab & body shots. ouch.....

yes. campillo throws a bunch of weak shots & doesn't know how to deal with power & aggression. Shumenov is even worse.
how don't see how these 2 fighters could even think of beating cloud.

maybe u should watch him closer then. hes the best defensive fighter in the division.
he might not have power but he knows how to blunt aggression and counter very accurately.
i think if campillo can weather the early storm and take cloud into deep waters he'd have a good chance of beating him since he's so much more skilled than cloud.

I have. he's nothing special in my opinion. i will go as far as saying i think cloud would even knock him out. take cloud to deep waters? cloud is a stamina horse. he fights the whole 12th so thats out of the question. campillo's stamina doesn't even come close to clouds. if campillo weathers the early storm he will get a slow beating. i will bet you all of my points if that fight is made. this is the thing with some fight fans. just because a fighter is a bit more skill then the other doesn't mean a automatic win for them (this is foolish) you have to balance out all strong points & all weak points of both fighters. cloud would run right through campillo.....

cloud's power is NOT the same after the first few rounds. he commits so much to a lot of his punches so over the course of the fight his punches lose steam.
campillo fights extremely loose and doesnt sit down on any of his punches so hes able to conserve energy over the whole bout.
campillo is the best in the division at blocking and parrying punches. he also knows how to roll to take steam off punches as well.

it aint like cloud is a power puncher with speed as well, he throws round punches that a defensive fighter like campillo would be able to see.

i wouldnt bet u all my points that campillo would beat cloud, but i would bet u points that campillo wouldnt be run over and would make it a very competitive fight which is why i would like to see it.

I wanted Dawson originally but now I'd be happy to see Cloud fight the winner of Pascal-Bhop and as a last resort a rematch with G. Johnson.

Hopkins and Pascal are fighting in December.
Dawson is recovering from the cut and will likely wait to rematch Pascal.
Adrian Diaconu is fighting Sheika in October.

That leaves:

Rematch Glen Johnson (not a whole lot of interest there).
Beibut Shumenov
Gabriel Campillo

Not too many attractive options but the main thing imo is he needs to stay active this time, like he said he is going to. Maybe a lower level guy like Chris Henry or even Yusaf Mack would be good stay busy fights.

I didn't say a year but it was a very nasty cut you probably want a few months to let something like that heal 100% or you'll risk it opening up again and becoming a permanent problem.

I'm talking about who cloud can fight within the next few months. (That would be ideal anyways who knows how long don king will have him sit).

Plus, I really don't think Dawson would fight Cloud, let alone anyone, while he has that rematch clause. In Chad's perfect world, Pascal beats Hopkins and Dawson gets a chance to avenge his loss and get his belts back. I seriously doubt he would risk all of that fighting Cloud.

cloud wants dawson bad, hes been calling him out for a while. that fight brings alot to him in terms of money and recognition, if he wins impressively he will have the division at his feet. idk if chad wanna fight him though, not saying hes ducking cloud i just think he wants pascal so bad hes willing to sit it out and wait for him. hes got that rematch clause.

a unification is never wrong for a fighter in clouds position so that would be great too, i dont know if the other champions will be willing to fight him though. u dont know if hbo will pick it up either since they dont have mainstream names and cloud hasnt established one of his own yet. maybe on BAD.

yusuf mack or chris henry would make for good matchups if he wants some more experience and another defense of his title. they are both good enough fighters to give him a competetive fight but shouldnt beat him. they would make for great fights stylisticly aswell. neither one of them are pushovers and they are both worthy to fight for a title. btw whats up with diaconu? thats a decent name on his resume plus if cloud stopped him (which i think he might) it would make him look good compared to pascal.
