Good question, you'd better ask Haye that, because that's exactly what he is doing - and what makes it really pathetic is, he's doing that after turning down a 50/50 purse offer with no rematch clauses to fight Wlad Klitschko this year.

Audley Harrison is a more exciting fight that Shannon Briggs.

That's like saying that watching paint dry is more exciting than a colonoscopy. Except that Briggs is actually a more credible opponent than Audley, because at least he was world class once, and was once the lineal World Heavyweight Champion. Audley never was, and never will be, even remotely close to being world class as a pro.

Plus Vitali isn't fighting Briggs in order to duck a more meaningful fight, whereas Haye is fighting Audley in order to duck the Klitschkos.
