Anyone who is more deserving said no, you must have been stuck under a rock somewhere but in case you haven't heard; Adamek passed, Valuev is injured, Solis passed, Diva Gaye passed many times, Povetkin does not want any, who else is left in your opinion that "is more deserving" AND wanted to take the fight? You want him to have a rematch with Peter or Arreola again or destroy one of Wladimir's recent victims like Chagaev or Chambers?

Here are 2 points to make or should I say wished would have happened before making this fight.

1) Briggs continue his comeback and beat a higher echelon fighter than he did. Those he beat recently are all no-name fighters. Imagine, you can fight for a title without even beating a top 10 fighter first.

2) In his comeback, Briggs KOed all those no-named fighters in the 1st round. This means, we don't know if he can fight more than 1 round. While he stated he has solved his asthma problems, we still didn't see proof of it in the ring. Will he be huffing and puffing if the fight goes longer than a few rounds?

Well, we all know that I am not getting any of my wishes and need to see the fight to see what Briggs can bring to the plate.

Hoping for a good fight and expecting to see a tall big man falling down.

Booooooring. Shannon is just the next in a long line of boring, tattooing title defenses for the indistinguishable, boring (but talented) Klitchkos. Shannon will plod and plod- wishing he could swing but scared to death to. And by round 4, his face will be a red, swollen mess. Either it will go the distance with Briggs absorbing a ridiculous amount of punishment, or the ref will stop it mercifully. That, or Vitali decides to put him away. But nothing about this fight is competitive. Nothing about any fight involving either Klitchko is. MAYBE David Haye, but probably not. I only say that because he's athletic. Not many other heavyweights are. But Haye will probably be shut down too. That killer ridiculous jab that both of these guys have make a lot of hopes and dreams go away. Guys always come in thinking about what they're going to do TO the Klitchkos, and all that goes out the window ones their dental work has been reorganized. It's sad really. Boxing sucks.
