Why did Saúl Álvarez fight a Bum "Francisco Villanueva," Three times??

On his 8th Professional fight, he fought Villanueva and Knocked him out in the Fifth,
Then on his 18th bout he decided to fight him again!
This time knocking him out in the 9th round,
Less then THREE MONTHS LATER, and two fights later on his 20th bout he decides to fight him AGAIN!
But this time only get's a SPLIT DECISION!
Take into consideration that Villanueva has a record of 9-23-2.

If that's not a padded record I dunno what is?

How many accounts do you have? :lo1:

He still has a better resume than JCC Jr.

Because his early career was basically his amatuer career. Mexico has a poor amatuer system so a lot of those guys turn pro around 15-16 and use that as a psuedo-amatuer career....fighting guys to build them up as fighters (etc...work on technique, gain experience, face certain styles).

With that said, most amatuer boxers face the same guy somethings 5-6 times, so whats so bad about Alvarez doing it....considering the way young Mexican fighters are brought up?

He sure does, he is also younger and has a future as a world class fighter unlike Jr.

There kid didn't really have an amateur career. I notice that you hold a lot of animosity towards Mexican people.
