If u never see the footage, he was hurt but managed to hold for the rest of the round.
it was lou devalle and it was a flash knockdown, jones was never in much trouble after that and continued beating de valle afterwards.

What do you honestly think Fix? From one RJ fan to another does he have a chance?

After watching Roy Jones Jr. over the years, I will come out and say that I don't think he is shot just yet.

I believe that he was not properly trained for the 2nd Tarver fight or for Glen Johnson.

I believe fatigue got him more than anything.

He is still very fast and has lightning quick hands.

I think he has slowed just a step in the last couple of years, so he might want to quit dropping his hands and work on his defense.

He's going to have to work to beat Tarver.

I think we will find that he probably really wants this one, and I think somehow, that Roy Jones will find a way to beat him going away.

Roy has a chance to win this fight, just as long as he still has *some* reflexes left. Like I’ve said before, Roy Jones missing a step is still faster than Anotonio Tarver. I’m sorry, but that’s the simple truth.

One thing people who haven’t boxed before need to consider is what it feels like getting caught flush by a guy who has power. Tarver hit him with one of the best counters I’ve ever seen. I strongly doubt many fighters would have been standing after that, it was that good. As far as Johnson goes, after watching that fight a few times, it almost looked like he got punched on the ear. Nothing messes up your equilibrium more than that, trust me.

I’m not trying to find excuses for Roy, just simply stating another point of view.

Personally, I’d love to see Roy win, but this is going to be a tough one. If he comes back rested and in shape, he definitely has a good chance of winning…don’t forget he has probably the best left hook of the past 10 years…

Wasn't the De Valle fight fun to watch? Roy put on a boxing show for twelve rounds. I thought that fight was pretty entertaining...
