i think the neck is one of the most important part of the body to get intensively trained. strengthening and conditioning the neck exclusively during training is an almost guarantee to avoid getting knocked out, it's really the only thing you can do to give you a chance at not getting ko'd when hit.
hopkins trained his neck like crazy, never been ko'd and only down twice.
james toney one of the best chins trained his neck well.
mayweather, he too does a good amount of focus on the neck.
many others, but the point i like to point out is, some do it as a part of training, and others do it as a religious part of their training and it proves that it aides in a fighters ability to take clean shots. i know there are many other factors but having a strong and conditioned neck pays huge dividends.
i think it's awesome, i'd be afraid to hurt something and not be able to eat for a week, lol.(bradleys chin push ups) -
