If I'm Angulo's Manager, I make Alfredo Fight in CANADA.

if a card is put together on foreign soil then hbo will have no legal problems in broadcasting the fight. it is a less-than-ideal situation, but there have been plenty of fights in canada - especially montreal - and those fights have done well on hbo.

this should not be the end of angulo's career. all that is needed is some creativity and flexibility on the part of angula's managerial and promotional team. canada is more permissive regarding travel and work visas. the language issue should be a non-factor; angulo doesn't speak english so a french-tinged city should have no impact.

angulo on the hopkins-pascal undercard...make it happen.

Montreal seems like a good fight town adn tehy often adopt fighters from other areas so that could work.

It would be a process though.

he is mexican citizen. He just has to apply for a short-term work permit visa in canada, i believe. just as any other nationality would

a televised fight in montreal doesn't feel any different than connecticut or anywhere else.

Application to work in Canada: Work permits

This application is for persons outside Canada who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada and who want to work temporarily in Canada. A work permit is issued if the application is accepted.

A temporary resident visa may also be required. Check the list of countries and territories whose citizens need a visa.

Submit the application to a visa office at a Canadian embassy, high commission or consulate abroad.

Many visa offices have specific local instructions about which documents you must submit with your application. You need to find out what they are, and make sure you include all the correct documents. Consult the list of Canadian visa offices abroad to find the office responsible for your country. The page for your visa office includes a link to their website. Go to the website and find out what requirements and procedures you must follow when you apply.
