I've yet to read any one of the posts from this thread, because the title of it simply grabbed my attention and I was very eager to respond.

    Anyway..

If you praise Winky and bash Hopkins, you're a hypocrite, plain and simple. Winky's two biggest wins are against guys smaller than him just like Hopkins' two biggest wins are against guys smaller than him. People talk about Winky is great and this and that, the thing is they're so use to Winky not getting credit for so long that they're now overcrediting him. Let me ask you people who praise Winky and hate on Hopkins a question, what has Winky accomplished that Hopkins' hasn't or can't accomplish?

Winky deserves a pound for pound spot, don't get me wrong, but I'm tired of people making him out to be greater than he is off a few performances against not-so-great fighters (Mosley & Tito)

I love the way people dig into fighters careers and proclaim they never faught anyone. Its amusing to me...

Its Winky's time now, Tito had his time as did DLH what the problem.... give him his dew. Winky has learnt his trade well, he's a vastly improved fighter and deserves his moment in the sun..... everyone can talk about ducking, there are virtually no fighters who can put an argument together to say they have ducked nobody.... if you want to make it out that way.

spinks does suck ... he was ovverrated... that doesn't mean that jduah sux... when he has his head on straight he doesn't loose.....

and vtamh as far as winky goes, u cant get better until sum1 gives u a fight.
he had the WBO belt, then the IBF... no one wanted to fight him tho. mosely fought him, and he got his ass kicked.
ppl thought it was a fluke so winky did it again. ppl say he had no chance against tito, he hammered him.....

its not about who u beat its how u beat them.
taylor beat hopkins, but hes not a P4P #1 guy.. cuz there is a few ppl that can beat him. winky however, right now in that division, there is IMO, no one that can beta him. sum may come close,... but not close enuff
thts what P4P is all about

I gottch Riz, however, winky got his belts because of the top dogs vacating them. winky hasnt taken a belt from a top fighter in his prime. The reason him not getting top challenging fights back when is because of his rating.
I myself was devestated after the Tito fight(being a true tito fan) and what i saw was Winky having great defense and consistancy troughout the fight. IMO he needed to go for the knockout of tito to establish himself the way people think he is. HE clearly could have done it, but again chose to sit back and wait for the dust to settle; just like his whole career.

I agree that Mosley is not a great fighter by any stretch of the imagination, but Wright completely dominated him once and completely dominated Trinidad. He's on a roll with victories over name opponents whether you like it or not. Who would you have above him in the pound for pound charts? I can think of one: Floyd Mayweather.

Dude you must have never seen the Vargas fight because it was a close disputed decision that could have gone either way and like your boy said everyone ducks Winky DLH , Trinidad before Hopkins always because he is the type of High risk low reward opponent your hear of. He is an excellent boxer not much fun to watch unless you really appreciate a good jab and pure boxing skills but neverless a force to be reckoned with who can beat him right now in middleweight or Jr. middleweight........ thats right homeboy Nobody!
