what did i think about Tony's performances?


1- against Shane: people thought he was gonna walk thru Shane but i didnt...even before the handwrap scandal, i've seen Shane handle big dudes...i seen him push around a Ricardo Mayorga that ballooned to over 170 in their fight...with the distractions of a) having weight issues (something about them using an incorrect scale before the weigh in and b) knowing that **** just hit the fan because of the wraps, i can say that he wasn't 100%

2- anyone coming off a year of inactivity and moving up against a JMW, i wasn't expecting anything spectacular...i knew he would try to get rounds under his belt to shake some rust off


am i saying Tony might NOT be shot? no...he could possibly be...November 13th will validate those questions


meanwhile, Shane Mosely just fought and some think that questions about HIS effectiveness are legit...hence this thread

Aslong as Shane can keep making seven figures he should probably keep fighting, but once his earnings power really drops he should consider hanging it up.

Manny is one of the few guys I pick to beat him now that I think Shane could handle when he was at his best.

I can certainly see why Mosley could do well against Manny but I don't know if he has enough left in the tank to do what he need to for all 12 rounds but I guess if he plays it correct he only has to work out a way to win seven or knock out Manny.

It is a shame we probably won't get to see it considering the issues between GBP and TR.
