This more than likely came down to Solis commitment and dedication to the sport. I think after showing up as overweight as he did in his last few fights, Arum and others felt it was best to move on.

Honestly, I would have loved to see Top Rank put money behind building Solis, Rigondeaux and Gamboa up together, targeting the cuban and latin community, but unfortunately that wont happen now.

I know for sure that he wanted... But King demanded more than 2,5 million. That pissed Vitali off and he stopped the negotiations... When they were negotiating the fight for the second time, Vitali offered Valuev 1,5 million. I just think Valuev didn`t want to agree to that as he had been offered much more previously...

Who all is in King's stable these days? If I think hard enough maybe I can think of 10 noteworthy names, including fighters he co-promotes with others.

all what come to mind at the moment are Devon Alexander and Tavoris Cloud. For what its worth Solis is still rated very high by the WBC so I'd imagine he tries to get a fight vs Austin and get that top spot with the WBC.

It's no secret in boxing that the Klitschko's don't want to do business with Don King. Solis probably bought into all the legendary BS that King preaches.
