    WBC President Jose Sulaiman has stated that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. could easily get the opportunity for a mandatory shot at the winner of the Sergio Martinez-Paul Williams rematch, which takes place on November 20 in Atlantic City. Chavez is the WBC's silver champion at the weight. He defends that interim-type title on December 4 against Alfonso Gomez.
