A quick look on boxrec (yes i used boxrec you smug, pompous, self righteous muttha****as ) shows a 60.98% KO ratio for FMJ. MP has a 67.86% KO ratio.

Consdering Floyd's safety first style seems his KO ratio is pretty damn high.....for a runner and a feather fist.

Pacquiao is a one dimensional fighter with no defense at all,if clottey was allowed to punch back he would of killed him.Just look at paccy in the between round how he looked.

Floyd has the jab,the defense,the footwork...he beats paccy in every department.

No thats actually horrible, most of peoples KO's come early in their careers against bums, look at everyones KO records %.

He only has 3 Ko's in his last 10 fights. and only 1 against top competition in Ricky Hatton.

Floyd is a feather fister.

In his first 15 fights he had 13 ko's against bums, notice the trend? The more competition the less KO's

Not a bad analysis....but again it lacks basic thought...... @ 130 Mayweather was considered a a decent puncher by the HBO commentary crew....watch some early fights. At 130-135 many opponents commented that he "hit's harder than you think"

KO% decreasing for FMJ is becuase of 3 reasons:

1. Moving up in weight multiple classes. He has moved from 130 to 147.....the power doesn't have the same effect against naturally bigger men.

2. Increase in competition (as you stated).

3. Decrease in combination punching. He has gotten more defensive as his career has progressed. This is due to a number of factors, one being his reflexes and footspeed have slowed, and two, he is more aware of the long term damage that can be sustained from taking punishment.


...also i think you will find most small guys who are "elite" haver more KO's the start of their career than towards the end (when they are moving up and facing bigger challenges)

so again, it's a combination of factors. If you ask ODLH, Ricky Hatton and SSM i'm sure they don't think Floyd is featherfisted.
