John Murray offered Victor Ortiz fight?

MANCHESTER'S John Murray will be handed the chance to fight on the undercard of Amir Khan's world title defence in Las Vegas on December 11.
Murray is wanted as the opponent for rising light welterweight star Victor Ortiz when Khan makes the third defence of his WBO world light welterweight against big punching Marcos Maidana at the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

Richard Schaefer of Khan's American promoters Golden Boy said: "I will be speaking to Murray's promoter Mick Hennessy to see if Murray is up to the task and if the fight can be done."

      They won't take this fight.

If they do it's night-night, Murray. Completely different levels.

Didn't Murray turn down a fight with Hank Lundy in the US? I doubt they take it , Ortiz is classes above him

That would be a good one for Ortiz, Murray still rather untested, but on a 5 bouts TKO streak and has at least a bit of a name as a prospect in the UK. And most likely no real stepping stone in the way of a major fight in early 2011 either.

He is mediocre at best. He is too green and his skills aren't much to talk about. Ortiz will stop him inside 6.

yh murray is pretty poor. he's been going on about fighting the top guys for some time now but is not prepared to step up. i don't blame him hes noway near that level. its gbp way of getting more fans to travel over and maybe a few more ppv buys in the uk
