    Marcos Maidana vs Edwin Valero

    Both hard hitters,
But pressure fighters you could say.

I think people neglected Valero skill,
People looked at him as someone who basically walked forward throwing bombs (which in sense yeah he did) but watching some of his sparring footage yesterday, He was a good BOXER and not just a good FIGHTER,
He gave the Santa Cruz brother Hell, He messed up Erik Morales,
He was sent home from Oscar De la Hoya's training camp for beating the crap out of him.
Juan Lazcano LEFT Valero's gym after the first day of sparring due to the punishment he received.

We never really got to see him against QUALITY opponents and although I do think he is a small bit over rated on here I do think he would of went pretty far.

Who takes it Maidana or Valero?

Valero would've killed Maidana (pun intended)

Seriously..after that DeMarco fight..Valero proved he could've been a HUGE attraction with his skill style and of course power!.

They would KO each other in the 4th.

            Valero wins.

His footwork and body movement and speed does it.

Sparring is just sparring, and I assume you watched the documentary. That was 2003 ish and when he faced Mosquera he was fighting too tall and didn;t use his body very well.

He did get better but he often slugged it out.

Maidana is a hell of a warrior, but he could be dropped and he is not an especially good boxer.

Fantastic brawl, but Valero would stop Maidana by the 8th or 9th.
