I defer. Cotto earned it and deserves it more than Margacheato did by a landslide. Pacquiao needs to fight Cotto without so many advantages, without catchweights, Mano a Mano. I would like to see the rematch at 154. 154!

Lets go back in time shall we.

Pac and Floyd are negotiating to fight each other. Floyd wants OST Pac doesn't if it was cuz he had something hide or didn't want to give in to Floyd. Whatever reason you want to believe the fight wasn't getting signed. So now they have to look for a replacement for the March 13 date.

The #1 WW Shane Mosley at the time had a schedule fight against Berto for January. So he can't do it.

The #2 WW is Pac. Obviously he can not fight himself.

The #3 WW is Floyd. Already negotiated didn't get nowhere.

The #4 WW is Cotto. Been there done that it was ass whoopin that really wasn't competitive after 5 rounds.

The #5 WW just for the haters lets say is Berto(In reality it was Clottey). Has a schedule to fight Shane in January. So he is not available.

The #6 WW is Clottey. If you go by the best WWs down the list. Yes at the time Clottey deserved. Even though he was coming off a lost he was competitive and some thought he won. Now was it a complete mismatch on paper going in due to the styles? Yes. But, he deserved the shot at the time.
Nice breakdown ... sadly this post likely will be ducked.

You're talking like if cotto losses on and on and on...snap back to reality you dumb ****..cotto only has TWO losses...one which was questionable because fo the wraps..and the other by a great fighter who he faced that night without a trainer. Stop sucking so much **** dude..seriously..don't forget that other fighters have losses too, such as mosley, pacquiao, williams..etc. learn boxing.

I am 100% with you, I love manny but cotto has a good chance..now that he has a great trainer to guide him through the fight, his chances are a lot better.

Cotto wants to see if Margarito beats Pacquiao to set a huge rematch at 154. That's what I think.

Wait, Cotto doesn't deserve a shot at Pacquiao even though he beat a decent JMW in Yuri Foreman, is still a big draw, but Margarito, who has disgraced himself and the sport by being caught attempting to cheat and has been destroyed by Mosley, does?
