Nathan Cleverly produced a mammoth effort in the Magnificent Seven's fight of the night to wrench away Karo Murat's '0' and line himself up for a shot at the WBO light-heavyweight title. The belt could be declared vacant if Juergen Braehmer is unable to defend against Cleverly due to the German's legal problems; however, promoter Frank Warren is confident that he can bring Braehmer over to London for his December 11th Excel Arena bill should the title holder successfully appeal against his assault conviction.

Cleverly may have "earned" a WBO title shot but it will be interesting to see if he gets it. The WBO allowed Universum's Erdei to avoid fighting a mandatory opponent for years, and it wouldn't surprise me to see Universum keep Braehmer away from Cleverly after seeing him smack around Murat

I think this kid is a little bit special, after watching most of his fights he gets better and better, I would like to see him box in a fight though, he seems to trade with everybody lately! He and joe calzaghe although resemble eachother, do not fight alike, other than they both like a tear up their styles are different! You should check him out pal!

I don't like the way Cleverly pushes or loops that right hand but he's a really good fighter. I wouldn't throw him in with Dawson, Cloud or Pascal just yet but in a year or so... no doubt.
