Basically I was saying that Williams turned down an immediate rematch with Margarito. Perhaps because he'd just been life n death with him and wanted an easy defence first. That could also explain why Margarito chose Mosley over Williams, remember he'd just warred with Cotto.

I was disappointed that they never rematched as much as anyone, first fight warranted it.

2. A green Williams outclassed Margarito in Antonio's backyard and took an easy UD. THEY asked for the rematch and Margarito turned it down. Saying he was "robbed and would never give Paul Williams the time of day again". Margarito changed his views all of a sudden and stopped saying he was robbed (after he watched the tape I'm guessing) and never talked about Williams again.

3. Margarito preferred knocking out a few low level guys and then fighting Cotto and Mosley. Paul was calling him out the entire time to no response. No WW had the guts to fight Paul so foolishly Goossen had him move up in weight and abandon his title.
