Nice Hopkins Article by Frank Lotierzo

What I mean to say is, it is nice if you are a fan of biased sports writing. I just love it when writers get to use their position to spit out one sided takes on a particular event. Hopkins lost a close fight. NOT because of the 12th round scoring, but because of the previous 11 rounds. You cant look at one round of one judges score card to decided a fight Frankie. You have to look at all of them. To say "If Ford had done blah blah blah in his round 12 scoring none of this would have happened" is asinine. Besides the fact that you have to score the WHOLE fight, anyone could say well...if this judge had scored another round for hopkins at some other point in the fight, he would have won. Yep. And if one of the other judges had scored a round for Taylor at some point in the fight, Taylor still wins. Anyone can sit there and spout out "If only's" If only Hopkins had won more rounds..he would still be champ. I think thats the "If Only" that matters right now.

Except you have to be an incredibly ****** individual to score 12 for Taylor.

Thing is that the same thing happened in the first Johnson - Tarver fight. Johnson got round 12 on one of the scorecards when he clearly lost the round, and if it had gone to Tarver it would have been a draw. It's the exact same situation, except the Hopkins PR machine didn't steamroll over the media and make them talk about it all the time.

Reading that article made me wonder if Hopkins had previously given him a reach-around.

I don't care for Hopkins and the fight was very close. Biased writers tend to show their idiocracy when they write about someone they like, rather then stay neutral.

just becuase you disagree with it, that doesn't make it wrong. Writers have opinions, just like you. F.L. is one of the most respected writers in Boxing.

            Hopkins 115, Taylor 113

I just checked boxrec.com and it says Taylor won the fight by split decision. End of argument.

I think if I had the same score as HBO and two of the three judges, it's pretty safe to say it was close but it was clearcut

Why is everybody still saying that Hopkins should have won the fight...I mean, its over. You cant do anything about it.. Why cant Hopkins just get over the fight and think about his upcoming fights. I think Taylor beat him for sure after wathcing that fight. I just dont know why Hopkins is still saying that he won if the fights already over and he lost already.
