Mosley just by a little. in 2007 Mosley was still A level boxer but didnt put Cotto down. Cotto was eating Shanes gloves for 12 rounds.

Pretty even if you ask me..

Mosley's power is being a tad overrated especially with his last few fights..he's always been a slugger tho..so his one shot power is probably more polished..but Cotto's thudding shots as they break opponents down leaves the impression that every single one of his opponents needed quite some time to recover from the pain..

If either catches you flush (Mosley's lunging right, Cotto's left hook) they can take you out..period.

Lastly, none of his opponents fight him as if he has very heavy hands.

Even with the few combos that Cotto landed on Pacquiao, Cotto was able to do some serious damage to Pacquiao's ear. Shane has a good right hand, but if he hits that hard it would be news to me. Cotto knocks people down with his jab...and there's no need to really comment on his left hook.

I vote for Cotto...any day of the week.
Clueless post seriously, there's been numerous accounts where boxers have stated Mosley was the hardest puncher at 147. He never hurts them? LOL? Shane's right hand is phenomenal, ask Margarito or Nazeem. Cotto landed clean flush shots against Margarito and Margarito strugged it off, he couldn't do that against Mosley - he had MARGARITO backing up. Cotto's a better body puncher but overall power Mosley hands down.

Mosley hits harder and he's also stronger than Cotto.

I don't know if its overrated, he was the first guy to put Mayweather in that bad of a position, first guy to KO Marg so he has some major pop but its mainly in his haymakers. I would say Cotto has more power per punch, but Mosley has harder single punches.

Mosley's power is more explosive, Cotto is heavy handed and his punches look as though they carry more weight.

I'd say Mosley hits harder, but not by as much as people might think.
