if its
Manny: -200
Marg: +200
Then
If you bet 100 on manny you will win $50 and get $150 from your $100
But most likely they will make manny 4-5 to one fav so its not worth betting on him

I usually don't bet on the super big fights, the odds are rarely worth it.
You could parley the bet though. So, for example, let's say there is another favorite on the same day, you could bet $100 that both Pacquiao and that guy will win. That makes the odds come down a bit.
For example last month I did a bet for both Alexander and Cloud to be winners over Kotelnik & Johnson. The reason is because Alexander was like a 9.5 to 1 favorite, so betting just on him wouldn't win ****. Betting both on him and cloud brought the odds down pretty good, so I bet $200 to make $150.
that turned out to be a pretty close, but I figured the hometown guy, plus don king means he's winning the fight. You always have to factor in stuff like that - location, who the promoters are, what's at stake, etc. etc etc
Parlaying is the BEST way to make money in boxing IMO. So many great bets out there that don't have appealing odds that can become incredibly useful for adding one or 2 more fights to a parlay
