I never entirely counted Margarito out just for the fact his style only has defensive flaws. Offensively he's a machine.

But I never really thought about what that dude in the Video is saying. Those are good points. Especially about Margarito being able to do damage with both hands.

People can say what they want about his last fight against that Garcia guy but that fight was at 154. Margarito's never been all that dominant at 154. Plus Garcia has never been stopped or knocked down and Margarito put him down early I think.

I got a weird feeling this fight with Pacquiao is going to be a lot more interesting than people think. If Margarito has his jab working and his body punching working this is going to be a grueling fight.

I agree. With the new video of Margarito training, it seems that people are finally agreeing that he is dangerous and not an easy fight. If Pac can hurt him then the fight is over. If not, then anything can happen. Hopefully Pac stops him, especially for boxing's sake.

You cant judge a guy by the way he looked 2-3 years ago.

He got owned by Shot Shane and couldnt get a journeyman out of there.I liked Margs just fine in his day, but I don't think Marg hits as hard as, say, Clottey. Especially now.

Pacquiao is too fast and smart. Marg's jab will not really be a factor in the fight; his long arms will only work against him, as he won't be able to get off on the inside. Plus. he will have to lean down to go to Pac's body, and he will definitely pay for it.

I don't see this fight lasting longer than six rounds. I will probably be attending and hope for a great war, but I just don't see it.

Most idiots that are saying he looked like shit most likely didn't even see the fight. They are just going with some of the public so cause they are too scared to get criticized. Burner is the perfect example, he was all happy laughing on how Margarito WAS TOYING with Garcia but now he flips it around.
did you see the fight?he looked like a mediocre fighter thats it.he looked like a fighter that would get his ass whooped by the top fighters.since garcia was trained by roach he's a great fighter?he's nobody when he beats someone worth mentioning than he can get some respect he doesn't get props for training with freddie roach.who the **** is roach?i could care less if someone gets koed unlike most of you so i didn't care that margo didn't get the knock out,he looked like **** because he aint **** like he always was, he's tough he's not skilled

manny will have problems with anyone he can't ko looka t the clottey fight which was dominated by manny but if you look at manny's face and listen to manny that was not an easy fight for him and he even looked frustrated at times the marquez fights went the distance and look how those fights played out even miguel seem to be givin him problems for the 1st 6 rounds so yeah marg might give manny problems if manny can't knock him out but thats because manny does not look as great if his opponents are not hurt by him

This fight would be no different from the Cotto and Hoya fights. When Pac's combinations begin landing on Marg's face and body, he'd wish he could do a Clottey defense. Thing is, Pac is more dangerous when being countered.

This is assuming Pac would have the same stamina as during his last fight with Clottey.

And that's what I'm curious about this fight.

i said it once i will say it again margs doest have to be faster then pac, move like him,or throw a million punches all margs has to do is throw enouh punches to cut pac because pac cuts and bruise very easly. margs has a good chance of wining this fight via tko i dont see pacs face holding up.

Dwyer bringing up the difference in power is very important but I dissagree with what he is saying. I agree that Margs has more power but he mentioned that Margs was able to take the hard hitting Cotto's punches and he kept coming forward. Well Pac was taking Cotto's punches and laughing at him, telling him to bring it (we all know that he was really hurting Pac though as he was bruised up after the fight and had a busted eardrum).

Another thing is, Pac catches guys with punches that they don't see. He dropped Cotto 3 times from punches he didn't see and Margs made him take a knee after several rounds of continuous punishment. If Margs comes in head first like he always does and gets into a slugfest with Pac, I feel he will get caught with an unseen punch as well and get dropped. Not to mention the sheer size difference will have margs brimming with confidence and if Pac can take his punches and laugh at him too as he did Cotto, I think Marg's will lose it and fight a sloppy, costly way.

I do agree with Dwyer that this fight will do big numbers both at the gate and on PPV sales. Just how many watch Mayweather fights to see him lose, the same thing wil happen here as a lot of people think Margs is just too big and strong for Pac and want to see him truly challenged or to lose.

Margarito looked better in the Garcia fight than Williams did in the Cintron fight. That is a fact, and not even up for debate.
