7000 calories a day isn't much for an athlete of Manny's caliber.
to normal people, sounds like alot.

Some weight gainers range from 700-1200 calories....PER SERVING.

So shake + breakfast = can be 1000+

    post-jog protein shake = 400+

    lunch - up to 2000+

    snacks + fruits etc - 300+

    dinner - up to 2000+
end of the day shake = 800

even at the max values I gave, that's only 6500kcals...

It's doable with proper supplementation. And he gets the highest possible quality food AND Supplements as a pro boxer.

Ariza knows what he's doing. But damn...7000 calories for a normal person is frickin' insane. For someone with Manny's metabolism and workload....7000 is not so crazy at all.

I couldn't imagine taking in 7,000 MORE calories. I'd be curious to know how many times a day he's training and how long and what type of training other than sparring, running, jumping rope, etc
I was exaggerating but it is not impossible. I have done close to 1000 cal on the eliptical in 45 min according to the machine. Try level 15-20.

Manny trains like a beast. Sparring alone burns so manny calories, jumping rope, speed ball, heavy bag, plyometrics, road work up hills for miles, etc. IT IS QUITE COMMON FOR ATHLETES TO CONSUME 7000 or more calories and boxers at close to their peak burn off calories doing nothing. When I used to go hard in training, I would be constantly hungry.

lmao, that's a good one. the thing is, that's at a catch-weight, what would the amount be at a full 154lb? 9,000 calories?

What most people hear dont seem to get it, manny eating 7000 cal a day to MANTAIN AND GAIN weight. Which is essentially the opposite of what most boxers do when trying to make weight (as in losing weight to make it). That is what is causing the confusion on thye boards.
Like the above poster i myself eat about 2000 cal a day and try o work off as much as I can hence lose weight

he must be taking 2000 calorie protein shakes, and eats 3000 calories.
