People are underestimating Kotelnik. Dude is nice, he'll be in there until the end.

I think Ortiz wins in a close and sloppy match....Kotelnik has a smothering, defensive style but he won't be able to push Victor around and rough him up....which is where Victor has proven to be flawed inComment

It was UD as well. But most commentators felt Kotelnik probably deserved to get a close decision. Nevertheless, it was a very close fight in the opinion of pretty much every commentator, and many of the rounds were extremely difficult to score. No close fight can ever be called a robbery, especially when many of the rounds are difficult to score and can therefore be validly scored either way, as was the case in this fight. To call it a robbery is just silly.
Kotelnik landed a lot more jabs and a few more punches overall than Alexander, in most of the rounds, but Alexander landed far more power punches than Kotelnik in most of the rounds. The judges are supposed to give a lot more weight in their scoring to effective power punches than to jabs, and that's why they gave it to Alexander. You could argue against the decision, but no one who knows anything about boxing would call it a robbery.
As for the claim that Kotelnik outclassed or humiliated Alexander, that's so ridiculous and shows such extreme bias that it leaves the TS with no credibility whatsoever. And the fact he ranks of Khan and Kotelnik above Bradley at this stage makes him even less credible. He clearly knows little or nothing about boxing.Last edited by Dave Rado; 09-21-2010, 01:08 PM.Comment

Ortiz will win be decision, taking nothing away from Kotelnik though, great fighter.
Kotelnik would cause Ortiz some problems, Ortiz right jab is lazy, yes it is to bait in people so he can use his speed & power in pocket like against Harris but Kotelnik is smart, his left jab & hook would have some success but over all Ortiz power & speed will be the main factor for the decision victory.
