the 10 best "slick", Black American fighters of the last 5 years

    Who are they?

    Are there even 10?

From the looks of the posts around here, one would think there is an overflowing abundance of "slick", Black american fighters.

    Mayweather
    Hopkins
    Toney
    Forrest
    Dawson
    Calderon
    Spinks
    Bradley
    Campbell
    Raheem

Obviously there's an agenda, but why limit it to the last Americans and 5 years only?

None of those guys are slick.

You left out Guzman, who is slick and I think had the style to outbox Pac at 130 or 35.

Not sure if Calderon really qualifies as slick so much as he qualifies as a track runner.

But I do agree with you that none of those you mentioned with the exception of Raheem, are "slick".

I kinda broke this down a while back. There were no slick AA Manny ducked. Most of those flaming Floyds fans really don't know **** about boxing and just started to watch Floyd around the DLH fight.

                With that said:

One could make an arguement for Mark Johnson being a slick AA fighter, but honestly him and Manny were never around the same weight at the same time. When Manny became a player at 112, Too sharp had moved up. Then as soon as Manny was getting some buzz, he got stopped by Sigurat and the combination of being weight drained and his body maturing, lead him to go up to 122. I doubt he could even make 118 or 115 at that point so there is no way you could say he ducked Mark Johnson.

at 122 there really wasn't anyone other than Junior Jones but him and Manny were never in the same divisinon at the same time, and also by the time Manny was at 122 and 126, Jones was pretty much done as far as being good on a competive level. FWIW Junior Jones isn't really slick but more of a boxer puncher as was Freddie Norwood, and Kevin Kelley.

at 130...there is Guzman but he is more flashy than slick (ala Zab Judah) and not only that, Guzman is not even AA which makes bringing him up a moot point.

at 135 the only one I could think of was Raheem but by the time Manny moved up, he was done as a fighter as well. Also Manny wanted to avenge his loss and if he would have fought Zahir instead, people would say he ducked/ran from Morales.

at 140....there are no slick AA fighters.

at 147 the only slick AA fighter was Floyd but unfortunately he is in a witness protection program.

FWIW Manny won his first two world titles against slick boxers in Sasakul and Ledwaba. Both were consired to top fighters in their division when Manny beat them.....making the whole Manny ducking slick fighters a dumb and ignorate statement to make.

Only thing that goes to show you is this; Most of those *****s have limited knowledge on the sport of boxing pre-Mayweather vs Gatti.

I saw that and it was put together very well. I just made this today though because I seen quite a few morons saying Shane Mosley is slick and then in comes the usual banter of "Manny has never fought a slick, Black american, hes ducking them".

As you can see, none of those tards dare come in this thread though.
