Important Update on Mitchell vs. Judah

    JUDAH-MITCHELL OFF

The September 3 clash between welterweight king Zab Judah and former 140lb champ Sharmba Mitchell has imploded. WBO Jr middleweight champ Daniel Santos vs former WBA welter boss Jose Rivera will now headline the September 3 SHOWTIME card. A heavyweight bout between Sergei Liakhovich and Owen Beck will be shifted to the SHOWTIME card from promoter Don King's August 13 pay-per-view card in Chicago.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I was actually looking forward to a possible matchup between these two.

How I wish this was some August Fools joke.

I think Zab wants more money for the fight. Anyone know how much he was being offered? I know he didn't make a ton for his last two bouts.

If money really was an issue, he'll be sure to get a good payday vs. PBF. I would love to see that fight more than any other fight right now.

Yeah, Zab really respects Mayweather, Jr., but he will not hesitate to tell anyone, that he will get in the ring anytime, anyplace...with anyone, including PBF. That would be a great fight. Zab has already gone on record saying that he has too much power for PBF. We shall see.

Much as it pains me to say it Judah would have wiped the floor with Mitchell

i'm not a judah fan but after seeing him stay focused and beat spinx for a hundred grand i understand why he dont want the mitchell fight.he thinks he's ppv material but only in the eyes of true boxing fans. he still needs the help of the quality of his opponents to make a ppv.

i hope he steps up and fights a live opponent and not languish around fighting mandatory paper belts.

he sure did sound serious in that boxgtalk interview where he's holding a cellphone splibtrashing waiting for pbf to answer. it was hilarious.these guys dont want to fight each other at this time.too risky for both.zab wants to savor his belts as long as he can.altho i'd lean towards judah in a close one.neither of them have the power to knock each other out.bad hands could have play in this one.
