            Well, the style people usually use as an example of when discussing Mexican boxing is the JCC/Margarito face first, defense later style. But currently, the are more boxer/puncher technicians coming out of Mexico. Librado Andrade is a good example of the typical Mexican style, but then there's Abner Mares who is a great boxer puncher who has been recently more technical.

                Its changing these days imo, take Fernando Montiel, his fav fighters are not Mexican's, they are guys like Ray Leonard.



                I really like Alvarez's counter punching variety, my only concerns for him, is that he fights a bit too square which leaves him open when he is backed up.

                  but there has always been some good mexican boxer/punchers out there as well...guys like ricardo lopez.

                    Short crisp punching, solid jabs and killer body work is the typical Mexican style IMO.
