I'm sure Roach's plan is to circle around him with a double or triple jab, but all this street talk Khan is doing might put presure to trade. That will prove to be a mistake. You don't play a street fighter's game, you use all your skills to neutralize his offense and make him pay for each and every mistake.
Khan just has to stop talking because the more HE talks the further HE gets from giving Maidana a boxing lesson.

It's nice to see positive comments more on the fight than hate on Khan.

Khan really has shut up a lot of haters already.

Good on ya Khan. Khan TKO 7

Paulie was an excellent boxer with an excellent defense and hes known to have an iron chin. In my opinion his chin is far better than Maidanas as hes been hit with big hitters. Khan ha solid power and proved it in stopping Paulie who fights in a boxer style, it was fast boxer vs. fast boxer in that fight, and Khan still made Paulie look like his feet were stuck to the ground. Khan will look on another level vs Maidana I promise you...Not saying hes the secound coming but Maidana is CLEARLY tailor made for this kid, Roach must be ecstatic a lot of you fans are clamoring over this fight and not a tougher one. Maidana has no footwork, his boxing mind is almost non-existent, he is very slow...nothing but power. Does that not sound like a dream opponent for any one of Roaches fighters, you all better believe it. Maidana does not have a very good chance, I mean he has a punchers chance and usually when that phrase is used it means his chances are slim, right? A punchers chance is what most Maidana fans are giving him, that has never been a good thing people and Im sorry to inform you all it wont start Dec. 11.

Amir Khan by TKO Rd. 9
why his maidana being constantly under estimated the guy catches punchers on his gloves and is a capable boxer, he aint the fastest and he aint the most skilled but what he does have his a good chin, good conditioning and world class power - khan has never ever fought a puncher as good as maidana NEVER this is a big big question for him, its not just the head shots its the body shots that maidana throws!! both fighters fancy their chances for me i am lending towards maidana by stoppage mid rounds i think maidana was tense against ortiz but showed that nerves could not beat him!!

If Khan knocks out Maidana, it's because Maidana has the tendency to gas out in the later rounds. But judging from the bad blood prior to this fight, it would be wise to guess that the dude is probably training like hell right now. Khan needs to watch out for a vicious straight right that made Victor Ortiz quit. In my opinion, Maidana is a heavier hitter that Prescott who knocked the butterflies out of Khan. I like Khan. Fast, technically sound and range-ie, but he needs to mellow down on the trash talk sometimes. As a matter of fact, I think he's gonna win the fight, but not by KO. More like a decision win. He should just STFU and show it in the ring. Know what I mean?
Khan stopped Paulie who is damn tough. Paulie had nothing to give and was hurt. His face was not pissed like the Hatton stoppage but bemused.
Heck Cotto gave Paulie a hell of a fight and beating, although Paulie had a good fight in there.

Ortiz to me, is more unknown than Paulie. He quit and showed no heart, which was emphasised in his post fight cry.

Maidana has faced unknowns himself. The worse part is, those fighters actually go to war with him. Perhaps it's the culture and style where he is from.

The way I see it, Kotelnik boxed Maidana's ass off and blocked and jabbed his way in a close fight, but a win.

Is Maidana better than he was before? I am not sure. He doesn;t seem to be better and can have flash KD's from a few fights. He may be hungry though, like Nate Campbell mentioned before, it's good that these hungry fighters who work hard get success (When he talked about Maidana and Oritz)

Khan's chin was cracked pretty fast by Prescott. Yes I would say Khan has a weak chin, but at 135 he was wobbly. At 140, Kotelnik hit him with shots that would have dropped him at 135 if you look at Willie Limond who dropped him, and ahs a poor KO ratio also.

Is Khan a better fighter than in the Prescott fight?

Well being 140 is an advantage, and also not so top heavy. He had very thin legs but a toned body before, now he isn't so built but has thicker legs. That could help take a punch better and increase power, because power comes from the legs.

His body has matured and he is physically very fit. Looking at the Wild Card gym experience, it has helped him so much.

Now on style, Khan is a purer boxer. He sue to try and get in fights and bully guys, but he is smarter now and is still effective. His guard ahs always been mentioned from sicne he was a pro, and it showed. Now he holds his hands up pretty much 80% of the time if not 95%.

Anything could happen in boxing, but I can't put money on Miadnan voer Khan. Yes he could win by a KO but if Khan boxes, then what are his chances? Very slim.

Can't argue that Paulie showed more heart and took his beating like a man..But TBH Ortiz is far more skilled...

its entirly possible that khan could win 120-108 he has the better skill set but the main thing for me his that khan will get hit in this fight from a big 140 who has a 90% KO ratio, kotelnik was very tough and did outbox maidana but he also took some huge flush shots which stunned him and kotelnik has a great chin.

the 135 weight for khan was not great i believe the weight of 140 improves him so much better also readjusting his body has also helped him but still he has not fought a single guy who could of dented his chin, kotelnik has ok power but he landed half flush shots which aint gonna hurt you he needs to land body shots and break you down slowly a bit like he did against alexander. Khan used his fast feet to win that feet also to be fair kotelnik was very lacklustre and did not really come to fight he gave his belt away without really showing any pride.

i just think maidanas body shots (gomez hurt khan with a body shot) and power punches will really get to khan, i think khan has a below average chin even if the weight was not great for him he should not of been knocked down by gomez or limond who are both average average punchers!! he has improved massively but pauli's defence was reflexes and his reflexes were shot to **** so his defence was ultimatically crap. maidana for me does not get hit as much as people think!!

I dont think Khan will KO Maidana, The game plan from Roach will be to outbox Maidana 120-108 and beating him every round by boxing and moving, Last thing you want to do is stand there toe to toe with Maidana and trade punches.

Victor Ortiz tried that and we all say what happened, Lateral movement, Box and move for 12 rounds, I expect a 12 round UD.

If a TKO happens it will happen late, But I dont think Roach will send Khan in there looking for a knockout.

Maybe, but skills mean a lot but heart can be equally or more so as important in the worst of situations.
