Why does everyone Love the Red Headed Mexican?

Mexico loves him, Staples loves him, HBO loves him and I get a sense that NSB is starting to love him. I can't pinpoint it, what is it about Canelo that gives him that star appeal?

Like his style, he isn't the quickest or most athletically gifted boxer, but he's actually a smart boxer. He controls distance, defense is pretty good, he feints a lot and he's good with both hands, nice kid too. What's not to like?

He's a Mexican, but he's white, so he has support from both those bases.

He's fun to watch, and he has talent, plus how young he is.

You know how hard is to find a good Mexican boxer that is actually good looking.

It's pretty obvious. He's young, white, red-headed, but born and raised in Mexico. He's a Mexican ginger.

He's limited as a fighter, but his fan base will be strong.

He punches like a MULE at 20
He looks different than the average Mexican even Latino
He's got great skill and many fights already

But most of all..He's a humble kid..he's accomplished so much in so little time and his ego hasn't made him too ****y yet..if he stays this way..Canelo will definitely be Boxing's biggest Cash Cow by 2015
