well, haters have an argument either way. If a fighter is built up too slow, then they can say "he only fights hamburger buns". If a fighter is rushed and gets beat, then they can say he was overrated or a hype job. Or they can use it to insult the promoter. Golden boy is a prime example. If they had kept feeding cupcakes to the Jacobs kid, they would have been blasted with criticism for "protecting him". Instead, they step him up, he gets beat, and then its "Golden Boy doesnt know how to develop anyone". lol

Sergio Martinez, Timothy Bradley, Amir Khan, Andre Berto, Paul Williams.. Those are legitimate fights for a fighter such as Pacquiao or Mayweather. Saul Alvarez, right now, is not. Maybe in a few years but the fight doesn't make sense at this moment.
