    Contrary to published reports, promoter Gary Shaw has denied that a breakthrough has been reached in his ongoing negotiations to finalize a deal with Timothy Bradley for a junior welterweight unification with Devon Alexander. The fight is scheduled for January 29 on HBO.

    looks like bradley wants to leave shaw n maybe go to the top dogs in top rank or gdp i think bradley will face ortiz next

          This is one of the things that is so very wrong with boxing. I think boxing contracts should be treated like other sports where a guy is a "restricted" free agent, where when the contract expires, you have the ability to match whatever offers come. Whether or not you like Shaw, the fact remains that at the time Shaw got involved, Bradley was still doing 6 rounders at the Doubletree in front of 500 people. And because of Shaw's connections, investment, and guidance (combined of course with Bradley's ability), Bradley is now a world champion, the #1 140 pounder in the world, and about to get a 7-figure payday. That should count for something.......

                Shaw is a bum...no wonder Bradley is always talking about business and what not, he has obviously been thinking about his career options a lot lately, he needs to drop Shaw like a bad habit
