Abraham got his azz beat in that Dirrel fight, hands down. I was one of the ppl tha thought Abraham would murder Dirrel, but I was wrong. Abraham wasnt gonna knock that man out, Dirrel was still throwing punches in the twelth and Abraham was still trying to find an opening thru that peek a boo defense. This tournament had so much potential too.

yeah, i pretty much thought Abraham was going to smash through Dirrell, but Andre suprised me with his ability to stick and move. he showed signs of greatness in the Froch fight but it's his clumsiness that starts to overshadow his beautiful left counters. and once again in the Abraham fight that same running and slipping caused him to look bad in some people eyes. after that fight, i was starting to think slipping was one of Dirrells defensive tactics (like holding). whenever he seems to be in a little trouble, he slips. at the moment in the Abraham fight he was up on the score cards, beat Abraham like no other, and proved to be one of the best @ 168. when we thought it was over, Abraham caught him and from that second on Dirrell was no longer standing his ground, he was in survival mode. Arthur was on him corner to corner, and when Dirrell is in that situation i think he relies on slipping as a tactic to get the ref involved. hey it's better than holding because how many fighters have been warned for slips? none, since it always looks accidental. i dont know what wa in store for the final round. Arthur will look better in a rematch, thats for sure.

Abraham gave Dirrell a concussion and sent him to a REAL clinic.....Abraham has MANY late round KO's and Dirrell was about to be ANOTHER one.....but he let that one get away but we'll see if Dirrell can survive in a rematch.....those 2 MUST fight again, MUST!!

If that was a boxing clinic the american association of doctors should sue him for giving them a bad name, because surgeons dont usually end up with their head next room to their body after giving someone a double bypass surgery.

Then let me rephrase: Dirrell gave Abraham a boxing clinic until Abraham got dirty and hit him while he was down from a slip.

imo Froch probably feels that if Ward and Dirrel arent gonna fight each other, why should he fulfill his obligations to the super 6, especially as no belt would be up for grabs v AA

ps Have Ward and Dirrel got a venue and date sorted? Last I heard they hadnt, so forget my post if they have
This sums it up the best. There is no injury, but with no title on the line...and the tournament up in the air with the Dirrell/Ward fiasco, Froch doesn't want to take such a risk unless everything gets finalised with the other fight.

Froch's camp have stated that it could take up to 3 weeks or more for him to fully recover from the back injury, coincidence as that is the time frame that the Dirrell/Ward fight has to come to a decision.

                      This forum is a joke.

The moment any fighter gets an injury (and I am sure it is a genuine injury as Carl is a consumate professional) then everyone cried about ducking and what not.

                      LMFAO.

Froch has fought Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell and Kessler back to back... Carl Froch is NOT a ducker.

                      Injuries happen. Get over it.
