Luis Collazo vs Saul Alvarez...Why Not?

I think they should start throwing Alvarez some good competition (not elite just yet). Collazo to me has always been somewhat of the gate keeper of the division. I think this would be an interesting fight.

I said exactly the same prior to the Berto fight in comparison to the Hatton fight. Boy was I wrong. I think it's a good step up in competition for Alvarez. Collazo's very crafty with a lot of experience, along with him being a southpaw.

It would be tough matchup, but then seeing Collazo in as many close fights that I have & seeing him always come away with the loss,a close fight with him isn't gonna be that good,we've all seen it before!!

If Collazo was active in the last year he would beat Alvarez hes tough can fight inside and outside and has an iron will it would be too much of a step up knocking out an over the hill Baldomir wasnt nothing special in my opinion.Collazo would need at least one warm up fight since he hasnt fought in over a year and on that occasion it was a cake walk

Hasn't it been a year since Collazo fought due to some shoulder surgery?

Maybe I got him mixed up with someone else, in any event, his inactivity alone is a liability so the potential of Alvarez pulling it off is really high.
